1) One page double-spaced minimum.

2) Connect something in your life in the present with the film “Precious Knowledge”.

3) “Something in my life in the present?” Yes. Seek something that passes as commonsense, but alsoseems to make no sense when you think about it. This can be something that happened to you thatweek, an idea that you notice being held by people around you, maybe something that you see on thenews, a song or movie or television show that seems to be popular but on closer reflection, it is hard tounderstand why. This is an incomplete list. Be attentive to the present.

4) This is a journal entry, not a full-out research paper. Unlike the other writing assignments, this onecan be speculative and informal. Explore the present moment, using the course texts. Do not worryabout fully developing your analysis. Think of it as a journal of ideas for a paper in the future. However, you do need to provide full citations of the film.
