Answers
1. AnswerOwners, Capital Structure, and Company Profile
GreenNest Arabia is an upcoming start-up company and is located at 123 Green
Lane, Riyadh, KSA. It specializes in the sale of sustainable products in Saudi Arabia. The
company’s e-mail address associated with the business is [email protected].
Selecting the legal formation of a sole trader will allow me, as the owner and manager,
total flexibility to control the business and its activities. The capital structure will include
personal savings of about 200,000 SAR and a small business loan. This funding will
cover start-up necessities that include merchandise, website, advertising, and other initial
costs for the first six months of business.
2. AnswerA. Scope and type of business
GreenNest Arabia will operate the e-commerce category, where it will focus on
the sale of environmentally friendly products such as reusable domestic items, organic
cosmetics, and eco-friendly fashion accessories. Closely related to this idea is the concept
of business that focuses on manufacturing environmentally friendly goods, which are
substitutes for regular products that our customers use, thereby making us stand out from
other businesses in a world that is embracing sustainability (Scarborough & Cornwall,
2015). Therefore, we aim to inspire people to live a greener lifestyle and guide them to
the options that will help them do so at an affordable price. Concerning the concept of
goals and objectives, we aim to prove that GreenNest Arabia has both short and longterm goals.
For the short-term goals, we plan on forging a strong online presence and the
development of brand recognition during the first year of our business. Our long-term
goal is to expand lines for our products, increase cooperation with other firms, and thus
achieve a 30% share of the market of environmentally friendly products within five years.
Our target market is the people in the 18 to 45 years age group who worry about
environmental issues and are settled in the urban area of Saudi Arabia. Mostly, they are
interested in sustainability, health, and wellness and they are more likely to be looking for
products reflecting these values. The general public is becoming more environmentally
conscious with time and thus is willing to purchase products from socially responsible
companies.
B. Business Philosophy
We at GreenNest Arabia are proud of the realization of our company’s business
philosophy, which is to be sustainable, honest, and socially responsible. It goes against
our values to think that businesses should cause harm to society if they cannot make a
profit. Some of such policies are that we work closely with our preferred suppliers who
embrace sustainable practices in their operations. Operating in a growth industry, we
expect increased customer interest in environmentally friendly products. Therefore,
GreenNest Arabia stands to benefit from this emerging trend by providing its target
market with a differentiated portfolio consisting of products that appeal to Arabic
aesthetics. Sustainable practices and knowledge in digital marketing are some of our key
areas of strength.
My experience in environmental science and e-commerce helps to create a
genuine brand based on superior product quality and dedicated customer service, thus
encouraging customer loyalty. SWOT analysis reveals strengths like sustainability and
online marketing but also such weaknesses as lack of branding. There exist both
opportunities and threats in the emerging green products market and stiff competition
from other established e-commerce platforms. To retain customers and stand out from the
competition, GreenNest Arabia will provide carefully chosen products and exceptional
service. The strategy is to rely on the distribution of educational content and partnership
with social media to create a large community around our name. In conclusion, we firmly
believe that we are capable of overcoming these challenges and excelling in this current
environment.
