My Philosophy of Classroom Management

Assignment Overview:

The purpose of this assignment is to explore various classroom management philosophies through research and design your own philosophy of classroom management. This will help you develop a foundational understanding of existing classroom management philosophies and how they align with your beliefs and values as an educator.

Many school districts have also been known to ask potential new teachers about their personal philosophies of classroom management in initial interviews. This assignment is designed to help you be prepared for that discussion and help you feel confident in future interviews.

Assignment Components:

Investigate at least three different classroom management philosophies or approaches, such as assertive discipline, positive behavior support, or restorative practices.

Utilize credible sources, including scholarly articles, educational books, or reputable websites

Personal Philosophy: Create your own personal philosophy of classroom management based on your research, highlighting your core beliefs and values.

Strategies and Practices: Describe specific strategies or practices you plan to implement in your classroom that align with your philosophy.

Conclusion: Reflect on how your philosophy will guide your actions as an educator and contribute to a positive learning environment.

3. Formatting and Submission
